Context

The NOW Institute is asked to work on the Toluca Lake project, a pilot project of a series of community gardens to provide agriculture and education opportunities within the neighbourhood.

Operating since 2001, The NOW institute is the research tangent of Los Angeles based architecture firm Morphosis. NOW founding director Thom Mayne is joined by co-director Eui-Sung Yi, porject manager karen Lohrmannm and a team of researches in their mulifaceted consulations for cities and regions worldwide, mostly recenlty Haiti, Madrid, New Orleans, a range of midsize US cities, and Los Angeles as a continuing testing ground.

Role

I are tasked to design the site based on the projects social aspect, solar analysis, security measure and a modest budget.
