The project started with 8 beginnings
From the get go, the Grunner&Friends knows that they want to explore the opportunities to take on a more algorithm approaches to the problem.
The conversation started from discussion on which task can leverage the computer, while maximized the design team.
We started out on identifying the parameters as a team and worked out the maximum envelope that the design can explore.
The projected started with 8 different approaches, and then we decided to go with 3. The challenge here is to find ways to script these approaches, record data and analysis them.
The diagram on the side shows the Snake as a example, some of the key parameters that offers control and insights includes:
if can the Snake can be Spited, number of points, width, total length.
To analysis the outcomes that we generated, we used Octopus, a multi-objective Evolutionary Optimization for the problem, as there are multiple goals at once, Visibility, Volume.
An interface was designed for the process as we decided to on-screen record the process for further study.
The interface shows the current solution on the right, some Key statistic of the current solution on the left -
Volume - indicates in green if it is within expected +/- 5%.
Pie Chart - shows the split of the visibility score of the units.
